The Conversation: Hip-Hop Education #HipHopEd

Several months ago, I had an opportunity to participate in a roundtable conversation about hip-hop education with some of my colleagues at Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City.

As part of the series, “The Conversation,” facilitated by Brennan DuBose, our dialogue explored the intersections of hip-hop and education from multiple perspectives.

Discussion participants include Ian Levy, Edmund Adjapong, Emily Bailin-Wells, Dr. Monique Lane, and Brian Mooney.

Check it out. Definitely worth watching. And please share with teachers and anyone who works with young people, particularly those interested in ways to engage urban youth in meaningful teaching and learning.
